About me.
Hi, I'm Amelia, a 16-year-old photographer based in Whitby.
I started photography in September 2025 and quickly fell in love with it. Since then, I've been learning every week with my brilliant photography teacher, Paul Armstrong, who has taught me so much and helped me grow my skills and confidence behind the camera.
I recently finished my GCSEs, which I'm really pleased about, and now I'm excited to spend even more time focusing on photography. Being homeschooled for the past year has given me the opportunity to learn more about photography and gain experience through practical shoots and real events.
So far, I've photographed a wedding, vow renewal, a basketball tournament, beach photoshoot, and a Musicport band. I enjoy experimenting with different styles of photography and am always looking to learn new things, but my favourite type of photography is definitely working with people. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and capturing special moments for them to look back on.
I use a Fujifilm X-T4 and am open to photographing all kinds of events and occasions. Whether it's a family photoshoot, a special event, or something completely different, I always aim to make people feel comfortable and create photos they'll be happy with.
Outside of photography, I've been doing martial arts for the past four years and am currently working towards my brown belt. Martial arts has helped me build confidence, determination, and discipline, which I bring with me into my photography as well.
I'm friendly, easy-going, and passionate about what I do, and I'd love the opportunity to work with you.
My Journey So Far
Although I only started photography in September 2025, it has quickly become a huge part of my life. Since then, I've spent countless hours learning, practising and gaining experience at real events. From weddings and vow renewals to sports tournaments and portrait sessions, every opportunity has helped me grow as a photographer and develop my own style.
